What is Healing?
What is healing? Does it mean I have something broken? Am I broken?
To me, healing does describe the experience of seeing an old wound, (ad)dressing the wound, then moving forward in a better way because the wounding has been addressed and no longer directs the subconscious mind based on that wounding.
In other ways, the healing process is an unraveling. Unraveling the web of understandings our minds have created in response to stimuli experienced throughout our lives. Often these beliefs are based on some foundational understanding from an early childhood experience that may be a misconception about the situation. So a misunderstanding may be guiding our decision making, our responses and reactions, and how we relate in many aspects of our lives in ways we are and are not aware of. And the release of such a misconception can free the mind to see the world with a bit less tension.
The unraveling reveals the pure essence of the spirit being that is you. This is healing.
Healing is not perfection, it is not even purity. It is a journey through life and all that life offers, so that we can use our conscious operating systems, rather than being driven by our personalities derived from cultural, familial, and karmic conditions.
